Car seats designed for swivel seats and seat lifts.

Seats made with a purpose

Why not use the original seat in the car, you ask. Well, the simple answer is that the original seat is not designed to rotate out of the car and would most likely get stuck in doing so. Our seats are designed to be space-efficient when rotating yet still retain as much comfort as possible.

Furthermore, when adapting a vehicle it's often necessary to also adapt the seat so it can give the intended user the best possible support. Keep in mind that seat adaptations are not only for user comfort but also for safety. For example, preventing the user from sliding down in the seat, ultimately ending up in a position where the function of the seat belt is compromised. The original seats are usually not customizable, certainly not to the same extent as our seats.

The seats on this page are all crash-test approved in combination with compatible products.

BraunAbility BEV seat

Ergonomic low built seat, specially designed for easy individual adaptation

The BEV seat has been designed for fitting in combination with the Turny or the Turnout swivel seats whenever available space means that a seat of the low-level type would be a major benefit.

The BEV seat has another great advantage in that the flat sides of the cushion have easy-slide upholstery well suited to transfers to and from a wheelchair.

The cushions in the backrest and base are removable, beneath which a variety of extras such as torso or lumbar supports can be fitted. The cushions are easily removed from their Velcro fasteners for cleaning or replacement.

There are also a number of practical accessories that further adapt seat use by those with particular needs and wishes.

BEV Kids

The BEV seat is also available in a kids version, for children who need a shorter cushion or have other specific needs, such as a lower headrest.

BraunAbility Caroseat® Flex

The Caroseat® Flex offers flexible vehicle adaptation and provides exceptional adjustability for both adults and children, without compromising on comfort.

One of its standout features is the retractable headrest, which lowers the car seat for easier entry and exit. It is particularly useful when used with a swivel seat or seat lift. By combining a smart low-built design with rigid and cushioned components, the Caroseat® Flex gives comfortable support where it is needed.

By pumping it up, you can adjust the front cushion to give more pressure relief or prevent sliding when the backrest is reclining. Whether for short trips or long journeys, the Caroseat® Flex is accommodating for users of all sizes, ensuring a natural seating experience. Furthermore, its modern upholstery blends seamlessly with today's car interiors.

Customisable for your needs

Modularity is a key feature of the Caroseat® Flex. A wide range of accessories is available to enhance seating comfort and posture support. These accessories can be added or removed based on individual needs, for instance:

  • Adjustable armrests: Add for extra convenience and stability.
  • Side support or posture belt: improve upper body alignment.

Suitable for all ages and sizes

The Caroseat® Flex is designed to grow with its users, making it highly adaptable for children and adults of all sizes. Its adjustable backrest ensures the perfect seat depth for a growing child, while its generous size accommodates larger adults comfortably. Choose between additional accessories for children or individuals with shorter stature. For example, a belt deflector provides optimal seat belt geometry.

AdaptabIe seating for children and adults of all heights

Our additional support options will help further individualise the seat's comfort for users of varying heights and needs, both children and adults.

Torso and Thigh Support
Choose either one or both to provide extra support to achieve that all-important good seating posture. It also creates a more enclosing seat which some users prefer.

Headrest
This headrest is significantly lower than the standard version. It is also highly flexible, allowing for both height and width adjustments to suit the needs of both children and adults.

4-point harness seat belt
The main function of the 4-point harness is to ensure the user maintains a comfortable and proper seating posture. A correct posture is essential for the seat belt to work effectively.

Belt deflector
The deflector puts the seat belt correctly across the shoulder for optimal belt geometry. In the event of an incident, it is meant to keep the belt in position while supporting and holding the upper body.

Armrest for diverse body sizes
Helping you position armrests closer together to better accommodate individual body sizes, such as those of children.

Please note
The BIS seat is only available as part of the kit Turny Evo BIS and can not be ordered separately.

BraunAbility BIS seat

A seat with an integrated three-point seat belt.

The BIS Seat is part of a kit solution consisting of the Turny Evo and a vehicle-specific mounting bracket.

This kit is designed for second-row installations in vans. With an integrated seat belt, when you move the Turny Evo, forward or backward, the belt moves with you, always maintaining that perfect seat belt geometry. This is important because wearing a seat belt correctly is what saves your life. It’s why children use a booster seat until they are big enough to get the proper seat belt geometry by themselves.

Additionally, the seat belt is close enough to reach when you're seated. A seat belt attached the C pillar in a van, can be hard if not impossible to reach when seated. Especially if rotating your upper body is painful or difficult.

As with all our seats, the BIS is crash-test approved to provide you with the best possible protection in the unfortunate event of a crash. Please note that the BIS Seat is currently only compatible with the Turny Evo.

The BIS Seat is a fully functional and comfortable car seat, available for both left and right side installations. Naturally, it comes with functions like adjustable backrest recline. The backrest can also be folded forward over the seat cushion if necessary. The BIS Seat can also be adapted with armrests if desired.
