Easy transfer to and from your wheelchair

When transferring to and from the Turny^® Evo, you can do so completely outside the vehicle. Even better, the Turny^® Evo can lower the seat to your level. This means that it doesn't matter if you're transferring from wheelchair to seat or seat to wheelchair, you can always transfer to a lower point. 

Not just for wheelchair users

Getting seated in a car can be tricky even if you don't have a diagnosed disability. Having the seat on the outside means you can back up against the edge of the seat and drop down. Now, let the Turny^® Evo lift you into the car. Getting out is just as easy. Rotate out and stand up in a forward motion like you would from a chair. In fact, you can even use the height adjustment to give you a little extra boost.

Passenger or driver?

The Turny^® Evo works on the passenger's side and in many cases even on the driver's side. In certain larger vehicles, it can also be installed in the second row of seats.

No permanent modification

As with all our swivel bases and seat lifts, the installation is completely reversible. In other words it will not affect the resale value of your car. You can even bring it along to your next car.

Easy to use hand control

Are you going in or out? Maybe you're just adjusting your seat? The intuitive 4-button hand-held control uses coloured lights that tell you what buttons are available to use at a given time.

Smartphone compatible

You can also control the Turny^® Evo with your smartphone via the Remote app. This requires that your Turny^® Evo is fitted with the BraunAbility Remote receiver kit.

There's also a great social benefit of having your child close to you in the front seat. You see everything that's going on, you can talk to each other and you can enjoy the ride together. This is not quite as easy with a child riding seated in their wheelchair in the back of the van.

Having the car seat on the outside isn't just beneficial for adults. For children that want to transfer, it can be the difference between possible and impossible. If and when your child is ready to start making their own transfer to and from the car seat, the Turny^® Evo can be used to help build technique and muscles.

Accessibility and stability for child car seats

Using the Turny Evo, you have the option to add ISOFIX mounts. We offer a specific bracket that provides extra stability and reliability, ensuring secure attachment of your child car seat in compliance with ISOFIX standards. Benefits for families with special needs include less strain on parents and caregivers, as well as safer and more comfortable transportation for the child.

Built-in footrest

When rotating in or out you can place your feet on the built-in footrest of the Turny^® Evo. Alternatively you can just let your feet drag along the ground until it's time to lift them over the sill.

Fully adjustable comfort

Using the Turny^® Evo allows you to adjust your seat just as you would with the standard car seat. You can adjust the lengthwise position of the seat and recline the backrest to your liking.
